Cuba reports fewer than 100 COVID-19 cases in 24 hours

In Cuba, an accelerated vaccination program against COVID-19 is underway, through which over 9.2 million of Cuba's 11.2 million people had been fully vaccinated, according to Minsap.

HAVANA, Dec. 5 (Xinhua) -- Cuba registered 88 cases and two deaths from COVID-19 over the past day, bringing the total to 963,090 confirmed infections and 8,309 fatalities, the Ministry of Public Health (Minsap) reported on Sunday.

Minsap said that 549 people were currently hospitalized with the disease, the lowest figure in months.

The central province of Camaguey registered the highest number of infections over the past day with 22, followed by Holguin with 15, and Villa Clara with 11.

In Cuba, an accelerated vaccination program against COVID-19 is underway, through which over 9.2 million of Cuba's 11.2 million people had been fully vaccinated, according to Minsap.

The immunizations are being carried out with the Abdala, Soberana-02, and Soberana Plus vaccines, all developed in Cuba.
